I love creating connections between people, places and projects in meaningful ways. When joining the Weaving Lab's community of practice I understood that weaving is a practice and skill that is becoming increasingly valuable in a fragmented society and complex world that operates in silos. I consider every group or network a living ecosystem which is continuously changing and learning and enjoy accompanying community building and learning processes. I'm continuously learning about the importance of addressing and working with power dynamics and am therefore studying deep democracy after Arnold Mindell as well as digging deeper into organisational design and governance processes.
I'm working with tools from the community canvas, microsolidarity, Theroy U and peer-2-peer approaches such as creating group principles, peer-2-peer coaching, case clinics, community rituals, money processes, values & purpose workshops, retrospectives and feedback sessions. I am interested in fostering regenerative working cultures, where there is a healthy balance between work and rest as well as cultures of care and kinship where we look after each other and the more than human world.
My experience as a weaver includes building a network of local food producers and hosts at The Food Assembly, running community building calls during the pandemic for the Bold New World initiative, stewarding the Church of Interbeing project and community, bringing together the Berlin based Circles UBI community in monthly Assemblies, convening a Community of Practice around regenerative activism with the CitizensLab, building community ties between the chefs and volunteers at the social enterprise Mazi Mas, co-creating seasonal community gatherings with the BeeHive, working and co-creating from the self-organised CoopSpace and soon living in cooperatively owned and run housing project.
I can consult and support your organisation, community or network to strengthen its social fabric and build a more collaborative, trusting and mutually supportive culture by introducing new practices, processes and structures.
